What's The Latest in the World of Warcraft
Patches in the World of Warcraft is inevitable. The latest to date was released last June 5, 2007 as World of Warcraft Client Patch 2.1.1. This patch corrects bugs found in the game.
Patch 2.1.1 contains fixes that allows players to correctly destroy Infernal that can be found in the quest entitled “The Fel and the Furious”. Moreover, the graphical display error was corrected in the Gladiator’s Plate Legguards. Another bug that was fixed is seeing terrain holes materialize far off. Getting stackable items from mail will not be immediately added in your inventory anymore. Lastly, flickering terrain will not be seen by gamers as it started when LOD system is allowed.
May 22, 2007, the World of Warcraft released Client Patch 2.1.0. The patch introduced the Black Temple which originally is the Temple of Karabor. Considered as the center of Draenei worship, the Temple of Karabor was flocked with priests until they were killed by demonically possessed Orcs. After the tragedy, the Shadow Council Warlocks gained control of the building and renamed it the Black Temple. During the Second War, the Alliance marched into Draenor. This made the Orc shaman by the name of Ner’zhul open a number of dimensional portals that was used for escaping. As a result, a magical backlash happened and it has torn the world apart. A pit lord named Magtheridon was pulled out by these portals in an area which is now called the Outland. Magtheridon seized the temple as a seat of power until Illidian the Betrayer came and challenged his supremacy over the Outlands. Illidian, a wielder of the Twin Blades of Azzinoth, triumphed over Magtheridon and replaced him as a ruler of the Outlands. As of today, Illidian still lives in the temple ready for anyone who wants to defy his regime.
Another thing introduced in Client Patch 2.1.0 is the Druid Epic flight form that can be obtained through several quests. It is the same as in the Epic mount quests of Warlock and Paladin that precede it. Also, this quest series paved the way for a new leader in Sethekk Halls that will in the end direct the way to the epic flight form.
