One person can make a difference in the world of Warcraft. The game of Warcraft will not be where it is had it not been for the avid gamers who continue to play it. Because of the popularity of the game, more and more players are getting hooked.

World of Warcraft makes use of server clusters which gamers refer to as realms. This let the players choose what kind of game play they prefer. It also lets the game support the number of subscribers (according to the preference of the player who started the realm).

A user may have a maximum of ten characters for each realm. For each account, a gamer is given fifty characters maximum. There are four kinds of realms:

1. Normal or what is also known as the Player vs. Environment
The PvE realms are apparent throughout the world of Warcraft. It may only be used actively when the command is turned on or when a hostile player is attacked. It is also used whenever the character enters the city of a faction that is opposing or when casting a spell on an ally. In the battle ground arena, the PvE realm is turned on.

2. Player versus Player
When the PvP is flagged, then these players leave the friendly zone (which is indicated by the zone that is colored green). These zones depend on the level fo the characters who will be battling within the arena. The zones can also serve as the contention of these enemies. For example, contested zones are color orange and unfriendly zones are color red. The latest Warcraft version have an updated feature on this realm. Sanctuaries were added for members from opposing factions to not attack one another.

3. Roleplaying
The same rules in PvE apply in this realm. The only difference is that the player behaves and acts according to his character. There is no enforcement in this realm.

4. Roleplaying Player versus Player
These are extensions to the roleplaying realms in order to make the gamers interact with one another. However, there are only selected servers that can accommodate this realm.
