World of Warcraft Talents: Fantasy Power on the Web
In November 2004, Blizzard Entertainment released World of Warcraft, one of the top so-called massively multiplayer online role-playing games nowadays. Taking the hype of the “beat mania” type of most online games, World of Warcraft has definitely demonstrated the game’s development from its precursor — Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
World of Warcraft adhere to the endless journey of the original version of warcraft. And since it is a strategy game, most players find it useful to see various strategy guides to help them play the game well.
In this version of the long-time Warcraft series, World of Warcraft lets you choose from its two battle realms: the Horde and the Alliance. Within each dominion, you get to choose a character from four various races. Along with the races, you can also choose the class you want to be in. For instance, you can choose to be a priest, druid, shaman, or a warrior.
With each class comes a different talent or skills. This is one important aspect of the game from which you have to choose based on your interest and capacity. Since this is a strategy game, choosing a particular talent is very important to aid you in the battle as well as in leveling.
In fact, experts say that even if it seems that most players get to have the same characters; each one of them can still be unique based on the talents or skills that they have.
As you level up, you obtain talent points. You will use these talent points in your character’s equivalent skill tree. Each character has its own skill tree; usually three are available in each class. Since each skill tree has its corresponding talent or skills that are totally unique from each other, it is important that you learn the trick of choosing the best skill. In this way, you don’t get to waste your hard-earned talent points.
Keep in mind that choosing a skill or talent is not as easy as simply assigning your talent points to a particular skill. For one thing, some skills have prerequisites. Hence, you cannot simply jump from one skill to another without taking the prerequisites.
The rule: In order to get to the second tier of your chosen skill tree, you need to allocate five of your talent points to any of the skill in the first tier. This is where strategies take place. You need to choose your skill carefully as this will require you to pay additional fee to your class trainer if you want to remove the skill from your character.
In general, you are allowed to master all of the skills in one skill tree and obtain the ultimate talent. To do this you need to assign at least 31 points in a particular skill tree. Keep in mind that you are only allowed to learn one ultimate talent or skill among the three available skill trees in your class.
However, you can acquire the different skills in other trees but you can no longer obtain the ultimate talent. This goes to show that you can be a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none.
In Choosing Talents
Since your character’s abilities will depend on the talents or skills and these skills are primarily dependent on the choices that you make, it is important that you know how to choose your talents wisely. This is to put your talent points into good use.
Her are some tips:
1. Know your class
In order to maximize your character’s ability, it is best if you choose talents based on your class. For instance, if you are a Mage, you should choose talents that primarily depend on spells.
2. Be wary of the skill tree
Most people take this for granted. Since you can clearly see the path leading to each skill in the skill tree, you can plan which skill to master next time. Hence, you decide on the skill that you want to purchase and master ahead of time so you get to analyze if you really need a particular talent or not.
3. Analyze your game
You can only choose the best talents for your class if you really know your character’s ability. This is not a hocus pocus game. It is a strategy game and choosing your talents wisely will facilitate the way you will play the game and eventually win.
Keep in mind that it will cost you a fortune just to unlearn the talents you have previously selected. Hence, it is important that you research on the specific talents first for your class and find out which skills can provide you more power and more chances of leveling up.
